As you should know by now, our
Pray. In = James 5:16, we read that the “effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” We can pray God’s blessings that someone may be reached with the gospel as a result of these efforts. Perhaps there is some= one you have been praying for, that they would be receptive to the gospel. This could be the time.
Invite. I= f you have been praying for a certain person, now is a great opportunity to invite them to come. Some may be uncomfortable coming to a worship service, but ma= y be less threatened by an invitation to VBS. If they have children, encourage t= hem to bring, not send, them. Everyone you invite probably will not come, but t= hey probably will not come if you don’t invite them.
Advertise. Let the community know what we are doing. Flyers have been prepared that you can put up in various public places, such as, stores, restaurants, barber and beauty salons, etc.
Attend. T= here will be classes for all ages, even adults. Many consider VBS to be only for= the children. While the emphasis is placed on children, there are also opportunities for adults to receive a great benefit by attending. And since= the focus is on children, be sure to bring your children, grandchildren, and ot= hers with you.
Work. The= re are opportunities for you to help, whether in a classroom, with crafts or refreshments, or in other ways. Don’t wait for someone to come ask yo= u to do something. Take the initiative and ask what you can do. It will take everyone doing their part to make this VBS the success it should be.
Why not make the commitment to be involved in
